John McCaskie born 1818 Ardstraw Tyrone Ireland - emigrated to Sydney on Moffat in 1841- worked in Bronte House as Head Groom and met Catherine Haliburton Neillings there.

born 1828 Cupar Fife Scotland - emigrated to Sydney on Canton in 1848- worked in Bronte House as Personal Maid to Mrs Georgina Lowe and met John McCaskie there.

Pictures came from an old album, presented to Thomas Neillings in 1865 by his daughter Elizabeth
Some photos are already named - I have attempted to identify others.

I think that this couple, who were on the 2nd page of the old album are Thomas & Elizabeth Neillings - see below. If not they are some of their children - their family consisted of Elizabeth, on the right, and James born 1823, and William 1833-1907.

A William Neillings married Bridget Keane in 1856 - they had 6 children including John 1866-1942.

First picture in the album - possibly Elizabeth Neillings 1836-1873 daughter Thomas Neillings - she gave him the album in 1865. She married James Hunt in 1855 and they had 6 sons

Jack Neillings, son of William, 1833-1907, brother of Catherine

Thomas Neillings 1800-83 & Elizabeth, his wife, 1788-1878, father & stepmother of Catherine.
