James Caldwell (1783-1823) was born in Co Tyrone Ireland, He was a Presbyterian Minister
He married Isabella McAskie (1785-1848) in Ireland.
She was from Creevy Ardstraw Co Tyrone Ireland. They emigrated in 1811 to USA

James & Isabella Caldwell had one known son Joseph Caldwell born about 1798. He married Ann Smith 1819, daughter of William Smith and Mary Caldwell. She was born 1790, and died 1860.

One known child of Joseph Caldwell and Ann Smith was :James Caldwell, born 25 August 1823, Mt Pleasant Washington Co Pennsylvania; died 23 March 1899. He married Margaret Jane Cochran July 1848 in Eldred Township Jefferson Co Pennsylvania. She was born 1829 in Eldred Township Jefferson Co Pennsylvania, and died before 1916.
